| Monthly meetings are
held the second Wednesday, after the first Monday of each month.
We are always looking for new members. What can
you do to help? Become a:
- Driver - Drivers must be 21 years or older
and hold a valid Connecticut driver's license. A one day driver
training course is available through the fire department.
- Medical Response Technician
- MRTs assist EMTs with patient care. MRT candidates must be 14
years or older. This is a 40 hour classroom course, with 20 hours of
practical training and 10 hours of clinical observations. Candidate
must pass a state written and practical exam.
- Emergency Medical Technician
- EMTs are responsible for all aspects of emergency patient care.
EMT candidates must be 18 years or older. This is an 80 hour
classroom course, with 50 hours of practical training and 12 hours
of clinical observation. Candidates must pass a state written and
practical exam.
